Under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Coordinator the Registered Polysomnography Tech, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Registered Polysomnographer can perform all the duties defined for Polysomnography tech and may provide supervision of other staff.   Obtains and documents a general history from all patients which includes a diagnosis and medications 100% of the time. Prepares patient and applies electrodes using the international 10-20 system, 100% of the time, and routinely within 30 minutes. Deliver safe and accurate patient care to those patients experiencing cardio-pulmonary difficulties and insure the smooth operation of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department. Obtains data pertinent to therapy by chart review and physical exam.
