The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high quality diagnostic CT procedures using independent judgment to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data in the diagnosis of disease of injury. Analyzes patient pathology as shown on the CT monitor and determines the need for additional scans, contrast, prep or a change in scanning plane of the body prior to consulting with the radiologist. Demonstrates effective human relation skills to develop a positive relationship with patient.
Qualifications
Required:
Formal Education and Certifications
Board Certified in Radiography by ARRT
Licensed by the West Virginia Board of Examiners
CPR certification (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire)
Knowledge and Experience
Thorough knowledge of radiation as well as radiology in general
