The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high quality diagnostic CT procedures using independent judgment to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data in the diagnosis of disease of injury.  Analyzes patient pathology as shown on the CT monitor and determines the need for additional scans, contrast, prep or a change in scanning plane of the body prior to consulting with the radiologist.  Demonstrates effective human relation skills to develop a positive relationship with patient. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the PACS/RIS equipment, including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, prefetching and other PACS related activities. Works closely with technologists to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling. Works closely with the radiologists and other medical staff to ensure access to PACS/RIS. Acts as a liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the healthcare organization.
