Processes patient preadmission and admission demographic and insurance data; enters information in the hospital computer system; maintains quality control for each preadmission and admission to insure accuracy of information; acts as liaison between patients, financial counselors and hospital patient accounting; insures that all state, federal and MUSC policies and procedures are followed. Functions in the Patient Admissions Department. Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma with 2 years experience in health care or a business related field.
