Management, supervision, and direction of all activities within the clinical laboratory. Must have basic knowledge of test procedures and related disease processes, recognizing appropriate test selection and abnormal test results; comply with safety practices and ethical standards; follow procedural guidelines for quality control monitoring, computer applications, instrumentation trouble-shooting, and specimen collection/processing; prioritize work to maintain maximum efficiency and standard of care; responsible for training new CTM and new procedures; assist with cost control; ensures daily quality controls/instrument maintenance are preformed.
