LABORATORY TECH AIDE: The lab tech aide will: Receive in specimens from pneumatic tube system and centrifuge blood and urine specimens as needed. Aliquot specimens and prepare for analysis. Perform waived and moderately complexity testing as defined by CLIA. Report testing according to established protocols including evaluation of specimen acceptability. Provide support functions to medical technologist including loading and maintaining instruments, assisting in re-constituting reagents, assisting in the maintenance and repair of clinical laboratory equipment within the scope of training, assessing inventory needs and putting away lab supplies.
