Position Summary
The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician II is responsible for evaluation, assessment, and providing treatment for persons who present with substance use-related issues, and/or mental health problems. Services can be provided to family members or concerned persons affected by someone’s substance misuse. Duties include providing evaluation and treatment recommendations; referring to appropriate services; and providing education and counseling to clients, family members, and affected others. Evaluation and treatment occur within programs of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department. Clinician II Status designates a staff member with Bachelors or Masters level training, conditional licensure (LMSW-cc, LCPC-cc, LADC), who acts with a moderate degree of independence and requires supervision and signing off on all clinical paperwork.
