The Diagnostic Imaging Secretary promotes positive patient and family experiences by receiving and greeting all patients and visitors to the Diagnostic Imaging Department with the highest levels of respect and courtesy. Upon receipt of patient information, the secretary analyzes and verifies all registration information. The secretary is then responsible for entering physician orders into the HIS/RIS after careful review and clarification where necessary. Any other information received is then documented, communicated and disseminated as necessary.  During this process, attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion is paramount to maintaining these components of the patients’ electronic medical record.
