Oversees the operations and staff of the Blood Bank section and Lab Support Services of the Laboratory to include the LST area and Faxon out patient lab. Ensures that lab results and services are of the utmost quality for all patients and customers. Description: Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations which includes monitoring of quality control activities, evaluate work performed for accuracy and timely reporting of test results. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities including outside organizations that receive laboratory services. Demonstrates skills and ability to maintain technical competency in all areas of responsibility, to help during breaks, short-staffing, excess workload and complex procedures.
