The KCH DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic is seeking an APP I to provide care to pediatric and adult hematology, vascular malformation, and hemophilia patient populations. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the ambulatory care setting works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP is generally service or MD aligned and manages a distinct patient population in the outpatient setting. On occasion the APP who functions primarily in the clinic may perform some coordination of inpatient care and outpatient follow-up after discharge. The APP will also rotate call with other providers for hemophilia treatment center. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.

Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team for Pediatric Hematology Oncology and Hemophilia Treatment Center. Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and implementation of the nutrition care plan for patients. Provides education and counseling to patients on their nutritional needs. Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Performs duties in compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. Serves as a nutrition educator for students, medical staff, health professionals, and/or general public. Serves as a role model, resource, and leader for other clinical dietitians. Exhibits nutrition expertise in specified area of practice.
