Full Time Assistant/Support Laboratory

Job Description


The Department is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II with an interest in neurological rehabilitation and research. Primary functions are to assist with daily lab operations. Major duties include multi-site coordination/communication; staff credentialing; data collection and entry; equipment setup and transport; ordering supplies and equipment; and special projects and duties as assigned. You may be required to conduct home visits to deliver equipment to assist existing staff with various tasks, as needed.



Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, standing,
and reaching during 8-10 hr. day.


Experience volunteering or working with patients with neurological disorders.


Experience working or volunteering in a research lab.


Knowledge and experience using image analysis software programs.


Demonstrated experience with data management and recording.


Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact, communicate, and work as a
team member with the academic, research and administrative staff, students, and database
and information systems personnel.




Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field.


Experience in the quality control of MRI data.


Knowledge of neuroanatomy and neuroscience
