This Clinical Social Worker will provide short term therapy to patients as well as crisis triage evaluation of patients during medical visits (On Call warm handoffs). Therapy includes providing clinical interventions using short term treatment with individuals, teens, families and groups, as well as crisis intervention and assessment at the Venice Family Clinic.  There may be an opportunity to supervise graduate student.


1. Graduation with Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare.  REQUIRED
2. Possess state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  REQUIRED
3. Advanced Spanish communication skills. A- REQUIRED
4. Demonstrated work experience with young families, pregnant women and teens. A- REQUIRED
5. Skill at assessing psychological needs of indigent population. A- REQUIRED
6. Demonstrated work experience in individual, family and group therapy.  REQUIRED
7. Excellent oral communication skills in order to communicate with providers, students, patients, agencies and volunteers.  REQUIRED
8. Ability to manage high volume practice.  REQUIRED
9. Working knowledge of California child abuse reporting laws. A- REQUIRED
10. Effective interpersonal skills to diffuse patients who become agitated. A/B - REQUIRED
11. Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team.  REQUIRED
12. Knowledge of community mental health and social services. A-REQUIRED
13. Skill at developing treatment and case management plans. A- REQUIRED
14. Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate problem solving and program implementation  REQUIRED
15. Working knowledge of diverse cultures and low income population, including the homeless A/B -  REQUIRED
16. Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs  REQUIRED
17. Ability to percept, supervise and evaluate MSW interns B-REQUIRED
18. Knowledge of HIPPA compliance for client/agency records according to established professional social standards.  REQUIRED
19. Knowledge of working with teens. A PREFERRED
