Job Description


As an SLP floating between our Westwood and Santa Monica locations, you will:

  • help children to develop listening and spoken language.
  • train families and caregivers to actively participate in the child's language development.
  • assess and treat outpatient pediatric patients with communication issues.
  • document services in the electronic health record.
  • interact with patients, their families, and Medical System Staff in a customer friendly manner.
  • follow applicable Medical Center, Clinic, Joint Commission, Dept of Public Health policies and procedures.

Candidate must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and a Speech Pathology license from the State of California.

Candidate must be a LSLS (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist) certified AVT (Auditory Verbal Therapist).

High level of clinical skill to evaluate and treat children with speech and language needs.

Candidate must have experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The candidate must write clearly and succinctly.

The candidate should be motivated to improve her/his clinical knowledge base and skills.

She/he should be proficient with computers for documentation, evaluation, and treatment.

The candidate should be organized and efficient when executing work duties.
