  • Position Summary
    • The Mammography Technologist is a Radiologic Technologist who, in addition to the responsibilities of a Radiologic Technologist, performs Mammography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
    •  
    • The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: N/A
    • License/Certifications: Completion of a certificate or degree course of study specifically in Radiologic Technology is required. ARRT certificate and State of Maine license to perform as Radiology Technologist required. ARRT certification for Mammography preferred. Must be certified in mammography within 12 months of date of hire. BLS required within 3 months of hire date.
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical 3D mammography experience preferred.
    • Must meet/maintain MOSA requirements.
