Perioperative Services at Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a RN Manager, Surgery Department to facilitate high quality, safe patient care through effective management of OR, sterile processing, and anesthesia. The Manager will play a key role in hospital growth of key service lines, procedural volume and physician engagement therefore strong communication and proven leadership will be critical.
Plan, organize, and delegate activities as required for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit including active participation with other hospital departments and leadership to accomplish this purpose.
Provide resources and guidance to support the utilization of evidence based practice standards.
Facilitate activities that prepare unit, environment, and staff to meet credentialing bodies requirements.
Identify key drivers in throughput process, evaluate areas role, and develop solutions to barriers.
Plan and/or manage patient care processes to improve performance.
Require documentation that meets hospital and credentialing standards/policy/guidelines.
Demonstrates positive supportive role in change process.
Complies with Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Responsible for staffing based on patient care needs.
Responsible for personnel functions including performance reviews and corrective action.
Promote professional growth and development of all employees.

Bachelor's degree Nursing required, will accept current enrollment and actively pursuing
3 years progressive leadership required
5 years clinical experience required
RN and BCLS required upon hire
Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, quality improvement and change management techniques, financial analysis, budget process and planning, accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles, ability to assess nursing care requirements based on nursing principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards.
