The Sr. Director of Women’s & Children’s Health provides vision, leadership and accountability in developing, driving and deploying strategies, integration and key initiatives across the UCLA Hospital and clinic system.  This position creates an administrative single-point-of-contact reporting to hospital and clinic executive leadership and works with the many stakeholders engaged in Pediatrics and Women’s Health clinical care and business operations.

The incumbent has responsibilities which include program development with all key stakeholders, growing market share, clinical integration and collaboration, operational performance, driving operational efficiencies including patient scheduling, establishing annual volume, financial, service and quality goals for areas of responsibility. Defines and improves the Pediatric and Women’s Health programs’ workflows from patient identification, diagnostics, treatment and follow-up whereby delivering an outstanding patient experience.


We’re seeking a self-motivated, customer-focused operational leader with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
  • Master’s degree highly desired
  • Seven to 10 years of experience in healthcare management
  • Five or more years of experience working within an Academic Medical Center or health system with highly matrixed organization structure, preferred
  • Five or more years working with pediatric and/or women’s health care service lines, departments, or related groups, preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and approaches
  • Working knowledge of healthcare financing, revenue cycle, budgeting processes, and key contributors
  • Strong ability to problem solve multi-faceted operational problems
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer service
