Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $5000 sign on bonus for
our Clinical Educator:

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position.
    Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;
    former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

 

The Clinical Educator/Project Coordinator collaborates in meeting the needs of LincolnHealth (LH) customers. The Clinical Educator/Project Coordinator is a role model in clinical practice, an educator and a consultant using professional skills, knowledge and exemplary interpersonal skills to coordinate educational services and develop/implement/evaluate clinical and non-clinical programs and services, which foster the delivery of quality care throughout LH. The Clinical Educator/Project Coordinator will work with northern region Clinical Professional Development Council (PDC) in supporting targeted education/professional development programs. In the expanded role of Project Coordinator, the Clinical Educator will oversee coordination, development and implementation of special projects/programs. Some periodic travel is required; must be available to periodically work early morning, evening and weekend hours.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

    1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably with BSN.
    2. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Registered Nurse license (specialty certification a plus). Current Maine RN licensure is required. Current BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred. (BLS & ACLS Instructor a plus).
    3. Experience: Minimum of two years' clinical experience in long-term care, home health and/or hospital settings. At least 1 year teaching experience (i.e. preceptor, classroom, etc.) is required. Experience in coordinating and/or managing projects is required.
    4. Affiliation with National Nursing Staff Development Organization (NNSDO) recommended.
    5. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from employees, management, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.  Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, physicians and patients.
    6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
    7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
