For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $5,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Clinical Dietitians!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time Clinical Dietitian position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Position Summary

Waldo County Medical Partners-Diabetes Services has an immediate need for a full time Clinical Dietitian to join our care team. The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing the nutritional status and educational needs of individuals in an outpatient ambulatory setting. The Clinical Dietitian provides counseling and education to patients as appropriate based on assessment findings. Participates in program administration and development.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition.
    2. License/Certifications: Registered Dietitian and licensed in the state of Maine. Obtain Certification as a Diabetes Educator as soon as 1000 hours of direct diabetes care is completed.
    3. Experience: Minimum one year's experience in individual nutritional counseling preferred.
    4. Completes Diabetes Self-Management Training new instructor program within one year.
