Job Description


The Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking an experienced Staff Research Associate to perform various techniques involving tissue culture of mammalian cells (human and murine) primarily T cells with sterile ascetic techniques. Perform viral vector manufacturing, transduction, and functional testing; and perform DNA/RNA/Protein isolation/extraction/quantification from assorted biological material and tissue. Ability of execute PCR, qPCR, ELISA and multiparametric flow cytometry experiments. Must be able to work in a mouse colony performing basic tumor biology research and patient derive xenograft formation protocols. Assist the laboratory supervisor with records keeping, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, stocking and placing laboratory orders. You must be able to work in a GLP-like regulated laboratory and have a flexible schedule.

BS degree in Biological-related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
At least 2-year experience working in the field of cell and molecular biology.
Working knowledge and experience in general cell biology, molecular biology and small animal medicine techniques
Working knowledge of cell culture and sterile techniques.
Ability to keep organized, descriptive and accurate laboratory records.
Ability and knowledge to operate basic laboratory equipment, i.e. centrifuge, tissue culture hood and related equipment, autoclaving, weighing, pipetting microliter volumes etc.
Ability and working knowledge of DNA/RNA/protein purification and quantification; PCR proficient
Ability to handle and restrain mice for IP/SC/ /Intra Tumor/Tail Vein drug and cell derivatives delivery.
Knowledge in gene expression profiling, sequence alignment and its computer-based analysis Multiparametric Flow Cytometry
