Organizes and prepares quality food while adhering to recipe standards, portion control, budgets, and correct utilization of all foods, attractive appearance/presentation and correct temperature. Responsible for cleanliness of work area for safe and sanitary handling of food equipment and supplies.
Formal Education and Certification
Current “food handlers” permit from the West Virginia Bureau of Public Health upon hire or within 30 days of hire
Knowledge and Experience
Previous food service experience
Mathematical skills to be able to extend recipes for larger quantities
Good communication skills
Ability to work in busy, stressful environment
