Define processes, procedures and quality standards for all personnel engaged in performing food & nutrition service procedures. Develop, implement and facilitate procedures for determining food & nutrition service’s needs. Develop, implement and facilitate procedures for to include the development and writing of standard work. Manage, coordinate, perform, train and supervise all processes related to tray assembly/delivery, cleaning, Sanitation, Allergies, Snacks/Supplements. Define and implement Quality standards for the department. Ensure that employees are properly trained and operate within the guidelines set forth by various industry standards and regulations including, but not limited Food Code, ServSafe, TJC, CMS and those of CaroMont. Perform various administrative duties related to the department performance, quality assurance and education/training of employees. Works collaboratively with nutrition care associates and clinical staff to ensure that proper nutrition delivery occurs. Acts as a department resource and liaison for vendors, physicians, nurses and other departments. This position is a leadership role and has supervisory responsibilities. Effective communication with staff, teaching, coaching, mentoring, positively influencing food & nutrition employees as well as role modeling service excellence and customer service is an integral component of this position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, Registered Dietitian or BSN/RN preferred; minimum 3 years of leadership and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, (preferably in Food & Nutrition Services). Experience in a quality-driven or education development role. Requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills who is accurate, timely and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and follow-through tasks with minimal supervision. A strong influencer that can manage, educate and desire to motivate others. Must possess excellent oral and written skills, decision-making capabilities, organizational skills, analytical knowledge for performing effective quantitative analyses, Microsoft Office (excel, Word) skills, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment. ServSafe Certification required within six months of hire date.
