Job Description

The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager Respiratory Therapy is to provide management of day-to-day shift operations of the Respiratory Department. Directly responsible for scheduling, daily staffing, and reviews daily shift assignments to obtain efficiency and eliminate overtime. Is accessible, approachable, and visible to staff; seeks staff input; and serves as clinical mentor. Actively assists staff on routine matters and is first line of response to problem-solve. Ensures clinical competencies of staff and identifies areas in need of improvement. Communicates pertinent information to Director and/or Assistant Director. The Assistant Manager functions streamline clinical activities of all members of the Respiratory Care Services team.   Qualifications Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of New Jersey. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Three (3) years of Respiratory Care experience, one (1) year of management experience preferred. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). Proficiency in the English language is required.

Qualifications

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of New Jersey. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Three (3) years of Respiratory Care experience, one (1) year of management experience preferred. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). Proficiency in the English language is required.
