UK Healthcare is growing once again! We are expanding our Interventional Radiology services, and are hiring for new technologists. The IR Technologist will provide CT guidance for procedures and assist the patient’s physician in expediting needed care. Quality, efficiency, and service excellence are all essential parts of this position. Duties include: performing interventional procedures per department protocols, providing feedback on image for improvement as needed, addressing customer needs appropriately according to age specific, service specific, and disease specific criteria, and utilizing proper procedures for identifying patients. Maintaining patient efficiency by spending the most appropriate amount of time for each task and interacting will be an essential job function, and adhering to the UK behavioral standards during interactions with patients, coworkers, and physicians, as well as external and internal customers will also be essential. New Starting Pay Rate – The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted based on current demand for this role. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $24.96/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated.
