Job Description


The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire part-time Research Coordinator to join the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment. You will provide support to Dr. Rajarman’s clinical trials team. Primary duties include:
-       Assisting with patient intakes
-       Managing all regulatory documents for the trial
-       Scheduling and organizing visits, recruitment, email correspondence with CRO, IRB.
-       Screening potential participants for study PI to determine study eligibility
-       Maintaining required subject visit documents including documents with PHI
-       Maintaining PI calendar
-       Maintaining electronic server files
-       Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of basic psychiatric terminology to converse with physicians, clinicians, patients and public
Working knowledge of various departments, patient related policies and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and it’s services and programs (highly preferred)
Experience in working in a psychiatric outpatient setting or other clinical setting (highly preferred) 
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, windows, Outlook e-mail and general PC applications and ability to learn
Ability to communicate clearly and distinctly with appropriate grammar and vocabulary as well as excellent communicative skills to convey warmth, understanding, and acceptance. 
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate decisions in determining follow-up action under emergent conditions.
Writing skills to complete patient information and business correspondence from general oral and/or written instruction as needed
