The nursing operations assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the payroll system and the scheduling system for the nursing division. The position also provides limited administrative support to specific service line management teams

Edits time cards on a daily basis for assigned cost centers and prepares them for manager approval deadline
Approves assigned time card cluster on a bi-weekly basis.
Compares employee schedule against employee timecard in order to ensure that the hours recorded are charged to the correct job code and cost center.
Generates timecard error reports for the clinical manager on a bi-weekly basis.
Compiles and maintains pertinent payroll reports and statistics as directed (i.e. staff overtime accruals, meal penalty accruals).
Refers employees who make recurrent and significant clocking errors to the appropriate manager for remedial action.
Generates employee attendance and tardiness records as warranted for the appropriate manager.
Prepares adjustment forms for the accounting department related to errors discovered from earlier paychecks.
Maintains service line schedules after they have been approved by the appropriate manager.
Monitors service line schedules for balance on a weekly basis and refers schedule balance issues to the appropriate manager for resolution.
Enters schedule change requests into the scheduling system (including, but not limited to, leaves of absence).
Orders and maintains unit office, administration and other supply par levels.
Researches and orders special supplies and/or equipment for the service line as requested.
Maintains system designed to monitor non-wage expenditures for the service line, including specific supplies and/or equipment.
Provides administrative support to the service line management team (i.e. maintaining employee records, tracking various projects, organizing specific materials).
