Responsible for the coordination and implementation of wellness initiatives for the community and employees that promotes healthy behavior change. Coordination of health and wellness activities with community partners including businesses, government agencies, and schools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promote a culture of health and wellness within the organization and community
Increase engagement in health, wellness, and service opportunities
Facilitate system-wide wellness strategies, programs and education with a focus on prevention
Develop community workplace wellness initiatives
Complete a Community Needs Assessment as required
Coordinate biometric screenings on a limited or as referred basis
Promotion of Health Risk Assessment (HRA)
Coordinate individual and group health coaching on a limited or as referred basis
Coordinate community education related to health and wellness to all age groups
Provide or facilitate community activities and events that promote healthy behaviors
Facilitate policy, systems and environmental change that encourages healthy behaviors
Monitor community health and wellness resources and work to fill gaps
Enhance community partnerships that promote health and wellness
Coordinate the Employee Wellness Committee
Develop, implement, and evaluate intervention strategies to facilitate employee health
Coordinate the Community Service Committee
Facilitate community benefit activity reporting for all applicable activities.
Organize all activities-schedule, classes, App
Create sustainability of programs
Coordinate process for insurance program reimbursement
Coordinate CPR Programs for community partners
Coordinate Safe Sitter Programs
Coordinate and develop Athletic Training contracts with school districts.
Coordinate activities and promotion of services with the Marketing Department

Considers age-related factors in care, education, and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures.
Supports the policies and procedures of the organization and the standards of the Joint Commission as required for full accreditation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE
Preferred: Degree in Business, Marketing, Health Education, Health Coaching, Public Health, or other related professional training. BLS certification.
Experience preferred in: MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher.
Program Management Experience Preferred. Special interest in improving the health of the communities that FirstLight Health System serves.
