Reporting to the Director, Pharmaceutical Services, you will be responsible for managing inpatient pediatric areas of the pharmacy practice unit. You will oversee pharmacy staffing, train new employees, perform employee evaluations, participate in departmental committees, and ensure that drug distribution and clinical services are provided to the highest standards according to established departmental policies and procedures. You will also serve as liaison between Pharmaceutical Services and other clinical departments within the hospital.

We’re seeking a strong leader with a current California Pharmacist license and:
·      Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE-Accredited College of Pharmacy
·      Current and valid CA Pharmacist License
·      ASHP-accredited residency highly desirable
·      Previous pediatrics experience preferred
·      Ability to establish and grow a cohesive, collaborative team
·      Exceptional communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and follow-through skills
·      Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
·      Ability to read and interpret current scientific literature
·      Proficiency with age-specific and disease-specific pharmacokinetic calculations
·      Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products such as ophthalmic preparations and intrathecal injections
