Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Services, Ambulatory & Community Practices, you will develop and implement plans and goals for daily operations, including: staff supervision, hiring, training, assessment, and discipline; clinical research management; design, implementation, and oversight of clinical programming; budgeting, contracting, and purchasing; participation in the RFP process, audits, and other mechanisms to monitor drug purchasing/reimbursement; and medication supply management. You will:

·      Represent the department in multi-disciplinary committees or task forces
·      Develop policies, staff competencies, and standard operating procedures
·      Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
·      Create and submit relevant reports to the Director or other executives
·      Oversee functions performed by the Hematology Oncology research pharmacy
Qualifications

We’re seeking a strong, independent leader with a current California Pharmacist license and:

·      PharmD degree
·      Eight or more years of ambulatory pharmacy experience
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills
·      Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products
·      Expertise in all aspects of medication preparation, administration, storage, handling, and waste in an ambulatory/community practice setting
·      Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the general public in a high volume, clinical setting
·      Ability to perform well with frequent interruptions/distractions
·      In-depth knowledge of age-specific and disease-specific pharmacokinetic calculations
·      Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
·      Maintenance of GCP and other relevant and required certifications
·      Specialty Board Certification, Advanced Practice licensure, or equivalent
·      Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
·      Ability to synthesize research protocol directions into an accurate tool that conveys all aspects of dose preparation and administration would be a plus
·      Previous clinical research experience is highly desirable
·      Successful completion of PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency preferred
