Job Description:

Contribute to the success of the Division of Internal Medicine by being able to develop, administer, and control institutional data resources to assure their availability, performance, integrity, and security.

Duties to include:

  • Data Analysis, Migration and Management: Develop and maintain reporting applications to enable and enhance reporting needs of the research division.
  • Implementation: Provide analysis, design and implementation and support of programmatic solutions.
  • Administration/Support: Provide technical or application support to users.
  • Leadership/Staff Management/Financial Responsibility: May provide functional supervision; provide direction, assignments, feedback, coaching and counseling to assure outcomes are achieved.

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of tools, facilities, and techniques for managing and administering business data.
  • Knowledge of and experience in importing, exporting, back-up, recovery, and migration of database contents.
  • Knowledge of tools and facilities for developing and populating application databases.
  • Knowledge of and experience with design, development and support of database management systems that use the relational structure.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills are required.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience with MS SQL Server (Transact-SQL) and MS SQL Server Management Studio required.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Reporting Services is required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Reporting Services, Redgate SQL Compare and Data Compare Suite is desirable
