Position Summary

Waldo County General Hospital has an immediate need for a full time Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Representative to join our care team. This is a hybrid remote work opportunity, with two days in our Belfast office and three days remote. The Senior AP Representative is responsible for maintaining the hospital’s good credit rating by firm control over all vendor invoices and provides training and support to the AP Representative processing all purchase order and non-purchase order items. The Senior AP Representative projects a knowing and courteous attitude in all relations with affiliates and suppliers. The Senior AP Representative coordinates with the Accounting Supervisor/Manager in the leadership and direction of the AP staff.

 Waldo County General Hospital is a 2017 Becker’s Hospital Review Critical Access Hospital to Know that operates as a family of services with Waldo County Medical Partners and Penobscot Shores Retirement Community. Waldo County General Hospital is part of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance and the MaineHealth system.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School graduate preferred. One year of accounting/bookkeeping courses preferred.
  2. Experience: N/A
  3. License/Certifications: N/A
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills, technical skills and attention to detail.
