For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $5,000 sign on for New Grad Registered Nurses, $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
  • Position Summary
    • The Call Center Registered Nurse (RN) serves as the primary point of contact for patients calling with clinical matters, and practices nursing via the telephone using the nursing process and physician approved protocols. As well, the Call Center RN will perform tasks as required, paying close attention to detail and accuracy, conducting all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous and respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education:   Degree in Nursing
    • License/Certification:  Active unencumbered State of Maine RN license or eligible for licensure.     Current BLS certification.
    • Experience:  Minimum two years’ experience working in a medical facility.
    • Knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques.
    • Knowledge of medical practice telephone triage protocols.
    • Skill in making decisions and responding quickly and calmly.
    • Proficient computer skills with skill in using electronic medical records.
    • Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
    • Excellent professional judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
