Job Description

Leads physician relations, working with the medical staff for hospital growth and quality care outcomes. Continuously improves employee relations, developing an engaged working group of managers and staff and collaboration of hospital departments and corporate functions to the betterment of patient care. Supports government relations activities with NCHA, local, regional and federal elected officials to the betterment of healthcare outcomes in the community. Serves as an organizational leader in driving quality and patient satisfaction (patient focused). Participates in development and implementation of FirstHealth budgets and operational policies for the hospital and collaboratively for the assigned region. Supports and assists FirstHealth leadership in complying with state, federal, and other regulatory and accreditation agencies, including, but not limited to, DNV, CARF, DFS and OSHA. Coordinates marketing activities for assigned region with Corporate Communications. Works with FH Community Health to ensure Community Need Assessment goals are achieved in regional market. Represents FH in communities served and interfaces with elected representatives and community leaders in regional market.Coordinates activities in areas of physician recruitment and ambulatory services in conjunction with FirstHealth clinical departments and medical group. Coordinates medical staff development at hospital site and region. Coordinates activities of Board of Advisors and committees of Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond Campus. Coordinates in conjunction with corporate representative activities of FirstHealth Health and Fitness, Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care and Foundation of FirstHealth services in region. Chairs regional service area committees as requested, to include FirstHealth and community services boards. Coordinates activities on FH entities for population health in representative counties. Prepares reports to various FirstHealth entities e.g., FH Board of Directors, Medical Staff, etc. of activities in regional market area.

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in management, finance, business, nursing, or other healthcare related field required. Master’s Degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred. Five years experience in a healthcare executive leadership position required, or ten years experience in healthcare/hospital leadership positions with multiple departments or services.
