The Employee Assistance Outpatient Clinician will have the opportunity to work as part of teams within the healthcare system as well as assist area businesses to promote a healthy environment in which to work. The position will also provide short term counseling and education as part of Employee Assistance Program(s). This position allows for a flexible schedule and travel to meet the needs of employees and area businesses. This position is part time days with on-call coverage and will cover Augusta & Waterville areas with occasional coverage in Skowhegan as needed. The ideal candidate will have: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred. Maine state licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor required. Job Description: Provides assessment, planning, counseling, and education services for clients within our Employee Assistance Program. Systematically assesses the injured patient’s mental status in collaboration with the treating Workplace Health Medical Provider to assist in determining injury resolution. Provides post injury Behavioral Health assessment to determine impact of injury on ability to perform work tasks. Works collaboratively with Workplace Health staff, payers, and internal/external resources to identify appropriate resources for injured patient. Works with our Wellness team to diversify and collaborate between behavioral health and well-being programs. Increase partnerships for integrated contracts for Occupational and Environmental medicine clinic, wellness, EAP and other needs of employers. Provides group, individual and family counseling in person or virtual from the office setting Provides employers with on-site services of process groups, critical incident response, supervisory training, and management consultation. Provides emotional support rounding throughout our MaineGeneral Health departments.
