Job Description

Supervises the work of up to five or more employees for an assigned shift.  Reports to the manager/supervisor and the primary purpose is to assign work and follow up on the work of other employees within the unit/department.  Plans and assigns work to ensure maximum production and efficiency.  Independent decision making is limited to the current shift responsibilities and interactions within prescribed policies.   May provide input for development of budgets.  Responsible for monitoring compliance and maintaining expenses within approved budget.  Independent decision making is limited to the current shift responsibilities and interactions within prescribed policies.  Participates in the planning of policies, standards and objectives that will provide the Center with effective nursing services.   All the duties and standards within this job description will be performed according to the established policies, procedures and guidelines outlined in the department and Center policy and procedure manuals.   Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.   Job Qualifications Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Associate Degree required with Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Licensure & Certifications:  Valid license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio. Specialty certification preferred. Experience:  2 years experience in the appropriate nursing specialty.
