Position Summary (This position will consist of 24 hours per week.)
The Patient Accounts Coordinator - LTC is responsible for census and verification of insurance, the processing of charges, billing and collection of all services provided by Coves Edge includes third party payers either manually or through electronic submission. The Coordinator is responsible for follow-up on past due accounts until either paid or sent to collection. The Coordinator is responsible for answering billing inquiries and to follow through with patients/residents questions or complaints. The Coordinator will post payments and run reports as appropriate. The Patient Accounts Coordinator is responsible for understanding and adhering to all billing guidelines and ensures that updates are kept current in the Hi-Tech billing system. The Coordinator is also responsible for setting up charges and processing recurring claims and doing follow-up for Cove’s Edge and associated entities until bills are paid and claims are adjudicated.
