The Palliative Medicine Practice of Maine Medical Partners is seeking a full-time Palliative Medicine physician. Candidates must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Maine Medical Partners Palliative Medicine is comprised of physicians, advanced practice professionals, social workers and chaplains. Services are provided in the inpatient setting at Maine Medical Center and in the outpatient Palliative Care Clinic. Maine Medical Center (MMC) is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and the only academic medical center in Maine. The practice also provides administrative and clinical services in partnership with Hospice of Southern Maine, a Medicare-certified hospice agency serving patients throughout York and Cumberland Counties.
Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and Level One Trauma Center, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships. The candidate would have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine, and the position involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students. The candidate will be faculty in Maine Medical Center’s Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program, which trains two fellows per year.
