Position Summary

Under supervision of the Director, the Nutritional Services Manager will be responsible for the food production of the café and catering services with oversight of patient service. The position will require supervisory skills to educate, direct and reinforce professional expectations. The Nutritional Services Manager will be responsible for the annual performance evaluations of culinary staff in addition to providing timely documentation of performance feedback within Performance Manager.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Culinary education preferred.
    2. License/Certifications: 5 years' previous culinary experience required. Serv safe certified required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
    3. Experience: 1 year's previous kitchen management experience required. Previous experience with a healthcare environment highly desirable.
    4. Knowledge of foods and food preparation.
    5. Knowledge of the operation and care of kitchen equipment.
    6. Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and safety.
    7. Ability to work effectively with fellow workers and others.
    8. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    9. Ability to learn the use and care of equipment, materials, utensils, and methods used in food service.
    10. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
    11. Ability to walk and remain standing while on shift.
