  • Position Summary
    • SMHC’s EPIC Training Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination of EPIC education and training opportunities for the employees of Southern Maine Health Care. This includes creating SMHC’s EPIC course structure in the Learning Management System (LMS), assigning LIVE and e-learn (when indicated) courses to employees, tracking compliance, and running reports. The SMHC Epic Training Coordinator is responsible for coordination of Epic training resources including instructor scheduling, training room scheduling, class materials. All education and training curriculum will be developed and delivered in accordance with Joint Commission and CMS standards, and aligned with SMHC policies. In this position, the EPIC Training Coordinator will work directly with the SMHC Learning Management System Administrator, SMHC credentialed trainers, SMHC Informatics teams (Inpatient and Ambulatory), and the MaineHealth SeHR Training Teams. This position is also responsible for administrative support for SMHC Informatics team initiatives, teams, and projects. . This position reports to the Director of Inpatient Clinical Informatics. Clerical/administrative support experience preferred.  Computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree with equivalent experience preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Two years of healthcare experience with knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS and State of Maine standards regarding Education and Competency requirements preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience and efficiency with EPIC (or equivalent EMR), Healthstream (or equivalent LMS), and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze vital information and multitask while remaining detail oriented and organized.
    • Demonstrates attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy.
