Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Participates in the day to day functions of the Food and Nutrition Department, ensuring quality food products are readily available for patients. The position will require the employee to be capable of interacting with patients to deliver spoken menu and assist with meal selections, delivering meals to patient rooms, communicating patient needs to nursing team as necessary, basic food preparation and assisting with department activities as needed.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School graduate preferred but not required.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Knowledge of food and customer service skills is preferred.
    • Ability to work effectively with fellow workers and others.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    • Ability to learn the use and care of equipment, materials, utensils, and methods used in food service.
    • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. 
    • Ability to walk and remain standing while on shift.
