Job Description

The purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate programs as assigned, supervise staff, and support the safe and efficient care of patients and families that have studies performed in the Radiology Department.  The position will uphold regulatory, certification and safety standards in the care of patients.  Under the direction and delegation of the Director this position will support communication, staffing, assess care standards, participate in quality improvement process.  The position will directly supervise Rad Tech II and Radiology Assistant staff as assigned by the Director.  In addition to the above duties, they must conform to all the duties listed under the staff Radiologic Technologist.

Works in clean, well-lighted, ventilated department. May be exposed to uncooperative and/or irrational patients and patients with communicable diseases. May be exposed to artificially produced ionizing radiation. The worker is subject to contact with patients, bodily fluids, and antibacterial solutions.

1. Education/Special Skills: Must be registered with the ARRT and have at least 1 year experience as a radiologic technologist. The level of education must include the ability to communicate effectively orally and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.

2. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.

3. Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled.


Shifts will mainly consist of days. On occasion be asked to work evening or night. 80 hours biweekly.
