Job Description

The Louisiana Hospital Association Research & Education Foundation (LHAREF) is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Project Specialist to assist with developing, maintaining and updating plans, projects, resources, and documents related to emergency preparedness. Within this role, the work completed will guide and support meeting grant deliverables of the Hospital Preparedness Program and fulfilling regulatory requirements of hospital and healthcare partners. This position will also provide staffing support at the State Emergency Operations Center during emergency situations, including nights and weekends if necessary. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office Suite, possess strong critical thinking skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with using data and analytics to present information as well as project development and management skills. Bachelor's Degree and 3 years’ experience in healthcare, grant management or emergency preparedness is required. While not required, experience in a hospital-based setting is desired, and prior experience with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) is preferred. Candidate will be required to complete all required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training courses if not already completed.
