  • Position Summary
    • Provide high-level analytical services and support as it relates to the quality of scanning, indexing of overall performance of Document Management services. Independently plan and coordinate with Trainers, HIM Leadership, HIM Committee and HRIT to ensure compliance with the MaineHealth (MH) documentation retention and scanning/indexing standards. Provide clinical support and guidance for the standardization of document indexing, awareness and collaboration for Order Level Indexing and abstraction of key elements for OLI as well as abstraction standards for New Patient Records. Perform as the SME and facilitate decision support for clinical standards for document indexing.

      Provide oversight for Forms Management supporting the creation of universal forms for all MH Shared Electronic Medical Records (SeHR) users. Ensure standardization and ongoing maintenance of all clinical forms scanned to SeHR. Work with Physician Liaison with Informed Consent standardization and management of forms revision and maintenance.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: At least three to five years' experience in a healthcare setting or administrative setting
    • Clinical experience preferred, and proficiency with clinical terminology
    • Experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent setting
    • Communicate effectively, both written and oral with the team, management, hospital, and ambulatory personnel.
    • Knowledgeable in multiple integrated software applications, medical record processing systems, record content, confidentiality, workflow, and chart analysis
    • Must be detail-oriented and have effective problem-solving skills
