The purpose of this position is to direct and supervise the nursing staff in the delivery of nursing care and ensure the availability of support services which facilitate this care during the absence of the Department Director. The LRH House supervisor is the Administrative representative of the hospital on the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The LRH House Supervisor must supervise staff RNs, LPNs, NAs, Unit Clerks, Students. The LRH House Supervisor reports directly to the Sr. VP Nursing. The incumbent has contact with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and LRH employees, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Must possess ability to function independently. Is able to make independent decisions and reacts appropriately in emergency situations. Must demonstrate knowledge of communication skills, problem-solving techniques, and understanding of human relations.

Graduate of a school of professional nursing with preference to baccalaureate degree in nursing. Must have current licensure in Minnesota. Two years experience in Medical/Surgical required. ACLS required.
