The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on standards of care and professional nursing practice; accountable for the outcomes of nursing care delivered.
Short term agreements consist of 4, 8 or 12 week durations and are agreed upon in advance. You must remain a qualified RN who is licensed and eligible to practice in SC. Your commitment will be for either 72 hours a pay period. You will be eligible for evening, night, weekend and holiday differentials in accordance with Tidelands Health Policies and Procedures. You are expected to work the shift schedules assigned by your Director or Manager to qualify for the completion bonus.
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Degree received from an education institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Experience: Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred
Licensure and Certification:
Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the GHS Staff Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the GHS Staff Development Office are approved by Staff development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two years.
Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
Physical Requirements: Medium While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
