Come join us!  Working within a model of “Safe Patient Family Centered Care”, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an integral part of our Health Care team!

Position Summary:  (This position will consist of 24 hours per week.)

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists in providing excellent delivery of age-specific, patient centered care which can include pediatric, general surgical, general medical, stroke, orthopedics, and urology.  Under the direct supervision of the RN, the CNA performs specific delegated tasks as they relate to ADL and the promotion of outcome based patient centered care. 

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
    2. License/Certifications: Certification from an approved nursing assistant program. Current registration with the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants. Current BLS certification (or attained within 6 months of hire).
    3. Experience: N/A
    4. OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures.
    5. Fire and safety procedures.
    6. Operation of patient care equipment (beds, scales, lifts, thermometers etc.) and office equipment (photocopier, computer, telephone.)
