Job Description

The Pharmacy Supervisor serves as Pharmacist-In-Charge and manages daily operations of the hospital pharmacy.  This position ensures pharmacy staffing and procedures support safe medication use and coincide with applicable state and federal regulations.  The Pharmacy Supervisor reports to the Enterprise Pharmacy Director and interacts with hospital/ clinic staff, students, volunteers, physicians and patients.  Effective interpersonal, leadership and communication skills are essential.  This position may encounter sensitive and/or confidential information and must demonstrate discretion to disclose information only as appropriate.

  1. Possesses a Doctorate of Pharmacy from a recognized College of Pharmacy
  2. Has a minimum of one year hospital/ health system pharmacy experience.
  3. Holds an active license to practice pharmacy in Minnesota.  Must maintain license in good standing as required by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
  4. Successfully completes a pre-employment background check, health screening and/or additional processes as applicable.
  5. Attends work site per schedule, yet can be flexible to accommodate fluctuating priorities.
  6. Proficiently operates a computer and is capable of using required software programs.
  7. Accurately follows oral and written instructions, pays attention to detail and displays effective time management skills.
  8. Effectively communicates with pharmacy and interdepartmental personnel.


Generally working M-F daytime hours, however hours may shift per needs. 80 hours biweekly.
