Doctorate degree in psychology from an accredited institution; or a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or psychiatric nursing or appropriate related field from an accredited institution.
Possession of a license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or as a licensed Clinical Psychologist (CP) by the state of North Dakota.
Valid Drivers License
BLS Healthcare provider CPR
Experience and Training: 1 year post-graduate experience preferred; experience in healthcare setting preferred. Must have knowledge of systems theory, as well as human and organizational behavior.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides direct outpatient care to patients with behavioral health needs on an outpatient basis, utilizing evidence based therapeutic modalities within the rural health clinic.
Works in the capacity of an independent, license provider in a competent, capable, professional manner which exemplifies the current standards of behavior for HAMC.
Performance assessments on new and returning patients as required.
Assesses emotional, psychologic, and developmental status of patients using a bio psychosocial approach.
Provides assessment to diagnose and treat mental health disorders and psychosocial disorders.
Develops new/updates treatment plans to help patient's meet their treatment goals following current standards of practice.
Initiates evidence based therapeutic treatment modalities in establishing treatment goals with patient.
Identifies appropriate therapeutic treatment approach to help patient's gain insight, understanding, and identify issues and/or behaviors which adversely affect their lives, physical, and mental health.
Participates in care conferences and team meetings as required.
Coordinates care with other providers as needed.
Communicates with family and patient in person, by letter, or by telephone and coordinates care with outside referral sources.
Provides timely incomprehensive documentation of patient assessment, treatment, problem areas, goals, and progress in the EHR.
Other duties as required.
