The Director of Nursing of the Cardiology Telemetry Unit is responsible for managing and overseeing the department by assisting in planning, directing, and overall operation of the area. Manages ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness and ensure quality. This position is responsible for providing administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning, including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material, and financial resources. Also responsible for oversight of education, research, registry, performance improvement, and patient safety programs. Establishes policy and direction (programs and services) and is accountable for department results. Provides leadership, coordination, technical assistance, consultation and other resources on development of injury prevention programs based on assessment of community needs and health outcomes.
RN Licensure in the state of Louisiana and or Multistate Compact Licensure
Master's degree in Nursing is preferred
Clinical experience that includes at least 4 years of caring for acute care patients is required
Management experience is required
Ability to work with diverse populations in multiple community and in-patient settings
