The Sr. Network & Hosting engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, building and supporting network, server and storage infrastructure for Torrance Memorial Medical Center. The Sr. Network & Hosting Engineer will also work closely with hosting vendors and will help develop our IT infrastructure roadmap.
Maintains stability, integrity and efficient operation of the network, server and storage infrastructure supporting Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
Responds to requests for new infrastructure and participates in the evaluation of alternatives.
Coordinates with cloud service providers to ensure optimal platform integration and performance.
Maintains technical expertise in cloud computing and virtualization technologies including cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration; cloud deployment models including public, community, private, and hybrid; cloud service delivery models including infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as-a-service; automation; hypervisors; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure; self-provisioning.
Defines and maintains operational, user/system administration, and security policies and procedures
Maintains documentation of existing infrastructure including asset inventory (licensing, hardware and software / firmware versions, end of life / end of support dates) and related policies and procedures.
Participates in planning, coordination and execution of activities related to network, server and storage infrastructure installations, de-installations, upgrades, patches and preventive maintenance.
Participates in Network & Hosting projects as a technical lead or resource and completes tasks as needed to meet agreed upon deadlines.
Engages with partners to conduct regular health check assessments and supports remediation activities.
Coordinates capacity planning and forecasting for future growth while working closely with manager.
Serves as an escalation point for the triage of issues that span technology stacks, conducts research, and facilitates resolution of incidents.
Provides support for a twenty-four-hour/seven day a week operation which necessitates being available to work after hours or on weekends
Prioritizes and completes tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Five years of experience as a systems engineer or systems administrator supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms.
; Specific experience with Microsoft Office 365, hybrid data center ecosystems, wireless network infrastructure, VLAN
; segmentation, and Voice Over IP solutions.
;• Three years of experience working on technical projects with at least one year of experience in a lead role or project manager
;• Three years of experience with IT control processes with specific experience related to change management, root cause
; analysis (RCA) and problem solving.
