The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician on both in-patients and out-patients. Provides services to patients of all age groups under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs two dimensional (2-D) ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Participates in CQI activities.
Must be a graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and carry title of DMS and be registry eligible with the title of RDMS.
No Experience, required
1-3 years of Experience preferred
RDMS (OB) - Preferred
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Certification/Licensure preferred.
