Job Description


  • Position Summary
    • This position assists the orthopedic physician in the care and treatment of patients with orthopedic needs within the practice.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Current BLS. OTC certification from NBCOT upon hire, or will obtain it within one year of employment.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in orthopedic casting and splinting.
    • Ability to articulate descriptions of orthopedic conditions based upon knowledge of anatomical structures and their relationship with one another.
    • Ability to apply and remove upper and lower extremity casts, body casts and splints.
    • Ability to work effectively under stress or emergency situations.
    • Knowledge of safety, infection control and quality assurance policies and regulations.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize with attention to detail.
    • Ability to demonstrate compassion and desire to help patients.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Proficient computer skills.
